Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy explains how order cancellations are handled on Mealio.

1. Customer Cancellation

Customers may request cancellation before a restaurant starts preparing the order. Once preparation has started, cancellation may be limited because the restaurant has already committed ingredients, labour and time.

2. Restaurant Cancellation

A restaurant may cancel an order if an item is unavailable, the restaurant is closed, there is a pricing or menu error, capacity is exceeded or the order cannot be prepared safely or correctly.

3. Delivery Cancellation

An order may be cancelled or marked failed if the delivery address is outside coverage, the customer is unreachable, access is blocked, payment cannot be confirmed or delivery cannot be completed safely.

4. Refunds After Cancellation

Refund eligibility depends on the cancellation reason, payment method and order stage. If Mealio, the restaurant or delivery operation causes the cancellation after payment, a refund or credit may be considered under the Refund Policy.

5. Repeated or Abusive Cancellations

Repeated cancellations, false orders or misuse of cancellation options may lead to account review, payment restrictions or suspension.

6. How to Request Cancellation

Use the order screen or contact Mealio support as quickly as possible. Include the order number and reason for cancellation so the team can review the order status.
